Checking in the various Government Gazettes and Ninghan Road Board Minutes, the following dates mark the various centenaries.

1. Mt Marshall as a local Government identity:  Date 24th January 1917. Creation of a new Ward of the Ninghan Road Board.  Mt Marshall Ward. Government Gazette 26th January 1917 page 122.

From the Ninghan Road Board Minutes of 10th March 1917 held at Yelbeni page 65 of the Minutes Book “ Election Results [Mt Marshall Ward] LK Hammond  Mt Marshall, FC Weyman  Mt Marshall. [The] Election held on 11th April 1917. (Mt Marshall candidates elected unopposed).

2.  Opening of the railway to Bencubbin:  1st February 1917.  Government Gazette 26th January 1917 page 133.

3.  New Townsite Bencubbin.  dated 26th October 1917.  Promulgated in the Government Gazette 2nd November 1917 page 1776.
